Architecture students took a trip to the Floral Park at the National Mall. Here, they measured the space and sketched designs for their culminating project, a pavilion that represents D.C. and serves a purpose to the public. Students will continue working on sketches and models of their structures during their daily studio time.

After all students got a chance to take reference pictures of the space and propose their ideas, they walked further east through the National Mall. From there, they split into groups and had time to explore nearby monuments, the Smithsonian museums, and historical landmarks.
