After getting settled into their rooms, students in Architecture, Law & Advocacy, and International Diplomacy got into their business casual attire and walked with their new TA groups to the Opening Ceremony. Site Director David Lowitz introduced the NSLC and its missions, then brought Leadership Facilitator Lauren Ball to the stage. She presented conversation topics and games to help students meet nearby peers. Lauren will meet with the students six more times throughout the session to strengthen their skills in leadership and teamwork. After the ceremony, students separated into meetings with their programs to get a better idea of what the next week will look like for them.
