Tonight, the International Business students experienced Social Media Madness! In this activity, students are given a company to represent on social media. Within a time limit, the IBUS students were tasked with completing specific tasks related to promoting a restaurant online. By writing on pieces of paper, students emulate blog posts, tweets, and Facebook posts, which were required to meet the requirements demanded by the specific media platform, such as post length and target audience. The students’ passion and drive was evident in their fast-paced participation in this fun and competitive challenge. Through Social Media Madness, the students were able to learn about marketing, brand, and image, in a fun, hands-on way.
