Today, the Law & Advocacy students had their final Mock Trials. With several days to prepare for this criminal court case, they gave testimonies as witnesses, experts, and defendants and curated their questions for cross examination and wrote their own opening and closing statements. These future lawyers had the opportunity to do all of this in the Washington College of Law’s courtroom on American University’s campus – giving these students a chance to step into their environment and take on their roles as lawyers.
