Today, the International Business students heard from Ellie Quinlan, the manager of the public visitor programs at the U.S. Institute of Peace. Ellie Quinlan has a deep connection to the students here at the NSLC, being a former student and Team Advisor herself. She spoke to the students today about the work that the U.S. Institute of Peace does, as well as how it aids other nations. She also discussed current events with the students, and informed the students of how to promote peace, even outside of the specific organization. She spoke about how the students can be an advocate for change and a conflict resolver in their daily lives, inspiring the students to be active in their lives and communities.
