#NSLCINTL students learned about world hunger tonight through what we call the “hunger dinner.” Students were divided up and given one of three meals: a gourmet meal, rice and beans, or just rice. After statistics about world hunger were shared, students spent time discussing their reactions to this surprise event and potential ways to solve world hunger.

(To the parents: don’t worry. We gave children more food after this simulation.)
